It's 11PM you check calving cam and there's one starting, go down to the shed and wait. Whilst waiting you contemplate all the life decisions you've made and what's got you to this point... Cow calves safely and all seems great in the world, it's now 1AM you start packing all your gear away that you didn't need but still bring, calving aid, ropes and rehydration buckets ect...... 'brilliant, successful night now time for bed' you turn around to go and there's two more of the f**kers starting. 5:30AM rolls round quick and the heifer you've been mithering about starts to calve  Pull that little beauty of bull calf out, now it really is time for some breakfast...walk in the house and put kettle on, Mrs comes downstairs and says 'morning how did you sleep?' 🤦‍♂️

Just after lambing 4 yrs ago I woke the Mrs up. I was asleep, but I'd grabbed her by the hip and chin and was trying to throw her out of bed.

She asked me what the hell I was doing, and apparently I replied "sorry I thought you was a sheep"

could you wake up in excruiating pain and wife ,c/w ringing pliers, says 'sorry thought you was that tup lamb i forgot about'

one year i kept misplacing them...kept buying another.....found found three later on :banghead: ....only got one at mo though:bag:
I've done that as well but I've found two now 😁
For a while I could only find the one with only 3 prongs on it as one broke off so didn't really open the rings very well and I should have throw it away but... you know you might need it as a spare for when the spare to the spare breaks . Never lost that one  I've still got it in a drawer safe as a spare for the spare spare 😁

That's another thing that only happens at lambing time. Rubber rings in every pocket but you can never remember where you left the ringing pliers 🤦‍♂️
I was blamed for losing them ringing outside lambs but was 99% certain I brought them back to the shed and my wife had left them in some straw. 2 weeks later wife steps on something in the bedding but at least she owned up -after buying another set.
