Your crop prospects 2015??

How well do you think your crops will yield this year??

I drove across the UK yesterday and whilst OSR crops look good there were very few fields of Wheat/ Barley that looked very promising and clearly showing the effects of the dry April so far.

If we get some rain soon and the frosts stop should be ok spring wheat looks poor at the moment

Winter crops got in right will be fine, spring crops could have problems imo. cuckoo corn.

Crops here need a drink ASAP, and warmer nights.
Next couple of weeks are critical, I would say.

Its a long time till harvest, all depends on the weather, I wish I could control that,then I would give you
a real idea of potential yields.

I cannot dis-agree as I live a few miles away, but bugger that does not look bad!!

dry april is not a problem compared to the weather in may or june

I have the best looking wheat I have had for a few years

the problem with many crops I see is antlantis damage and later planting when it was too wet in October

IF only I could buy a inch of warm rain in a can I'd be laughing.

Well it defo isn't me fishing for compliments as im all spring drilling this year and until it rains I wont see a plant let alone drill lines..

Still got one field to put in as well but cant do that for a week until the sheep fhinsh the kale..

You drilled a bit early IMO with the lupins

fungi and bacteria, seems you need very little water if you have perfect access to it - is that right @York
