Here is how it woks in Hertfordshire!
Daily message at least from October to April. I have had 5 this morning, the best is enclosed we had 3 inches by 7am and this came out of the council at 8:30am.(the 3rd message)
Most flat snow we have had for a long time it is very wet and real test for the "Snow Brush" probably 5 inches by 11am

We have had about 5 inches here when I took these photos but still snowing.

Had some decent snow last night then eased off this morning. I've just run across to Manchester from N.Wales and after all the stories they said about 20 inches falling there is hardly anything but a few flakes.
