God drop in the night , thunderstorms seemed to come and go for hours , probably had best part of 10mm at least , would have done some good for the drilling.

Then the forecast was always 3mm and we got 15mm. Had 12 forecast this weekend and got 0.75mm

Another beautiful day baring a 10min shower

A few spots on the windscreen to add that little extra bit of pressure to the beet drilling this afternoon. But it didn't come to anything and got finished by teatime and then the N on as the wind fell light.

7 mm in our guage this morning - forecast says 5 more days with some rain each day , then dry by Sunday. 9 deg max though - will hardly push grass on.

Couple of spots of rain over the weekend when I was "up north" (Donny). Aside from that, few degrees cooler today. Forecast "showers"...........maybe.

Well what do we do now? The temperature is expected to feel like below 4 deg ( bulk tank temperature ) by Thursday and days of showers ahead. Cows have been in since mid July , and should have been in much earlier but we hadn't made any first cut by then.
