Standard June weather for here at the moment: strong Westerly with gusts; dense drizzle from low cloud; humid.

Perking up the grazed grass, and bulking out what should be ready to cut in the next dry run.

} please let there be a dry run {

Still pretty dry here, a little patchy drizzle to the north of us yesterday. Spring barley on the stiffer land looking poor and that on the light land scorching off. Peas and sugar beet growing amazingly well under the circumstances.
Just read Farmer Roy's thread on how dry it is in his part of the world, we really should not be complaining. Good luck to all those making hay and haylage, it seems to be going well in this area.

Yeah, its nice....

...but maybe just....

....no, cant even dare say it.
If you say you need rain, I shall rib you unmercifully about the sandyness of your boys ground!
You had a lot more rain a lot later than here, and there's still plenty of moisture down at the roots to keep things health here, despite 0.6mm rain in the last month.

Bit of mist here this morning , enough to make the ash trees drip. (any type of moisture is welcome right now). Sun will burn it off shortly to allow the hay and haylage makers to carry on at the cracking pace that this recent weather has allowed. Sprayed Sugar Beet at home last night , they look well and are not stupidly behind despite being drilled later. Forecast is still dry for a time. Royal Norfolk Show this week, always worth a visit to see the fine livestock on show .
Keep up the good work everybody.
