just watched the Countryfile weather. My advice is you have two days to build an ark. Best of luck, we may never hear from you again! I am currently taking pictures of excellent standing winter barley and wheat to remind me how it looked for later in the week after the monsoon has passed.

Just had a quick storm pass through with thunder, lightning and hail. Put down 12 mil in about 20 mins. Was very welcome as we are on light land and things were getting very dry. West of Lincoln.

Did look black your way. high clouds building now - unstable air mass moving in. Expect a clap or two of thunder early hours of the morning.

Think we might need that ark. Some very wet and cold cows in for milking this morning, we gave them a very sheltered paddock too. Hope there's enough grass left for today as it ain't letting up any time soon. Thank God we have good hedges, the calves will be feeling even colder.

concrete dry, breezy, few spots overnight, did right applying fungicide to wheat yesterday, I worked on the theory that if the collar bone I broke when a teenager doesnt ache its not going to rain, forecast or not, can feel a twinge now

Wettest night in a very long time here, most the cows were lay in this morning, turning them out after milking felt like late october, bitterly cold and hammering down.
