Dry and forecast dry for weeks. Harrowing down the ploughing I did three weeks ago before it gets too dry on the sand in this strong cold drying easterly.
You know it’s beet drilling time when the wind gets up and it stops raining.

There is rarely a good spray day here once the wind goes in the east, though sometimes there is a lull about 4 pm before it picks up speed again.
West wind is easier. Goes to bed with the sun.

Chilly East/S East wind , late ploughed land needs a bit of forethought otherwise it will go the other way. Dry on top but snotty underneath.
