Currently excellent on the Cambs/Suffolk border. Sunny, -1°C with a windchill bringing that down to -9°C apparently, and dry, lovely and dry with only 55% humidity. It's all going t!ts up tomorrow according to the forecast

Although it`s 10 degrees warmer than yesterday morning ( -14 to - 4 ) it feels much colder with a evil South Easterly wind drifting the snow.

Local Hexham weather forecast for week starting 19/2 ; 13C and dry/sunny all week. I will believe it when i see it.

There have been spells of freezing rain today. Nasty, deceptive stuff. Hard to decide whether you're about to step onto a normal wet patch of lane, or whether it will be black ice.

Shards of ice hurled off twigs, branches, and the electricity wires in strong gusts of wind, because there are brief moments of thaw.

Dont think it got above -1 all day,, light flurry of snow for a while this afternoon. So nice not to be slopping through mud Next Saturday looks like day trip to the beach weather, not that such things are allowed.

Still sh!te and a bitterly cold South East wind up here in Northumberland. Snow and ice starting to thaw,including slurry and soft muck.
