East Anglia:
Forecast: Sunny spells for a time this morning initially but becoming increasingly overcast as the morning progresses and into this afternoon with rain pushing up from the south. A few heavy bursts are possible within this, and the odd lightning strike is possible near the Suffolk and Essex coasts. Here, rainfall totals may reach 20-25mm in places, though there is low confidence with regards to rainfall details. Most areas will gradually become dry this evening and tonight, but rain may linger in easternmost areas of the region.

Another scorcher 37c at the moment and west wind gusting to forty. Total of 14 mm since May 1st Cereals look good but not sure how. Soys have emerged but too dry to keep growing. Canola sine how has come up but same deal it’s not growing. Chance of severe thunderstorms fir the next few days but we never seem to get one when needed. Subsoil moisture is next to nothing with three dry years in a row.

Rain overnight here:
East Anglia outlook for the week:

Forecast : Amber (Temperatures)
Forecast - 24 hours (weather and hazard summary): Dry with sunny spells this morning. Further sunny spells this afternoon too, allowing temperatures to edge into the mid-20s in London again. However, this warmth will help trigger some sharp showers through the afternoon. The greatest threat of these showers will be in western parts of East Anglia (primarily Cambridgeshire, and western Norfolk/Suffolk). Here, lightning strikes are likely, as are hourly rainfall totals in excess of 10mm. Showers will slowly fade this evening and tonight.
Forecast - 2 to 5 Days (weather and hazard summary): Dry with lengthy sunny spells on Tuesday, warm too, with temperatures widely reaching the mid-20s away from the coast. Sunny spells Wednesday through to Friday too, but with cloud increasing through the afternoons, perhaps with one or two showers as well. Remaining warm, with temperatures widely reaching the mid-20s, perhaps becoming very warm on Friday.

Feeling lucky at the moment. Yesterday’s heat of 37 spawned some major thunderstorms. Dropped up to 2 inches in an hour. Other areas just baked in the heat. Going to be a hot week ahead so crops will advance rapidly now. Along with the weeds. Once it drys off the sprayer will be rolling. 😀
