One farm had about half a mm, so we are back cutting this morning. Wettest corn if the year so far at fifteen percent. Hot now. Balers everywhere. Hoping to get another sixty AC cut ahead of the rain and just leave eighty next to the drier shed for next week. Then oats and linseed. Then.....bank holiday weekend off.

We caught the edges of a few showers and were opening up a field of spring barley when it poured down could barely get the combine lids shut in time. Had about 8mm in 30mins, weather station said it hit 35mm an hour at one point

South Lincolnshire - 5mm, must be grateful for something I suppose. Get the feeling most places are getting large amounts of rain yet here we are very much still in drought. All rain seems to miss us, last rain was a few weeks ago when we had 15mm which made no difference at all. Even hedges and trees are turning brown and dieing off around here
