Strong north wind and squally showers. Cold. Why can't it be set in the middle instead of at extremes? Why not some nice warm showers without the galeforce winds. Just had a power cut here.

Another 5mm during be day so about an inch now, wet the full profile for the first time in a while and a couple of drains gone damp at the beck end.

Think that would get us to harvest now

16.5 mm since Weds., but when it comes 3 to 5mm in 24 hrs, with strong winds in between, the benefit is marginal. Gone in about 3". Has helped some late emerged small beet plants, but that's about all.

15 mm total since it started raining last week. Cold northerly wind. Stopped things dying but that’s about it.
Feels like the whole system needs a reset. This harvest is knackered. Grass is holding on but only just.
