Forecast: After a mainly dry start, sleet and snow will edge in from the west later this morning, continuing through much of the afternoon; the snow is likely to be heaviest across the south-west area with accumulations here 2-5cm, perhaps locally a little more by this evening. Coastal parts of Suffolk and Norfolk may miss much of the snow with any snow accumulations here expected to be no more than 1-2cm. Tending to become drier elsewhere too later this evening, and the second half of the night will be mainly clear and very cold with a widespread frost.
