Same here Dull & miserable☔️😕

Anglia Forecast for the week ahead doesn’t look promising either:

Status: Yellow - Rain

Forecast: 24 hours (weather and hazard summary)

Another day of scattered, heavy showers and sunny spells, with these showers potentially turning thundery, and if so, will bring the risk of locally frequent lightning. Heavy downpours may allow hourly rainfall totals to reach 15mm or so, with 24h totals of around 20mm possible in places where mutliple showers occur. Showers will fade away through the evening for a dry night with patchy cloud and long clear intervals to follow.

Forecast - 2 to 5 Days (weather and hazard summary)

Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday with these potentially heavy and thundery; the heaviest downpours on Tuesday may see hourly rainfall totals of around 15mm with 24h totals of 20mm or so in local spots where multiple showers occur, with this most likely in the south. Hourly rainfall totals of 10-15mm will also be possible on Wednesday. If any showers do become thunderstorms, locally frequent lightning will be an additional risk. Turning drier overnight as the showers fade away, for a dry night to follow with long clear periods.

Thursday will become rather unsettled as low pressure looks to push in from the Atlantic, this bringing spells of rain and strong winds throughout the day and overnight into Friday. There are uncertainties regarding the track of this system across Britain as well as the time of its arrival, with this altering the location of the strongest winds and heaviest rain meaning that at this stage, confidence is low. However, it currently looks like south westerly winds will gust around 40-50mph and 24h rainfall totals of 10-15mm may be possible. Winds gusting above 50mph cannot be ruled out entirely at this time. Spells of rain and blustery winds will continue through Friday, with the rain becoming more showery as the day progresses before easing overnight.

Turned out to be not a bad dry day so far
Your getting lucky. Dry this morning heavy showers this aft. Went to look at a field about 10 miles away to find the dyke had been over and spent the next hour letting water off. Turns out they had 33mm in just over an hour and half yesterday when we had none!!
