Just done the rounds...my thoughts what a cold Feb morning...oh jut remembered its late May Grounds wet as well how the hell are they going to get on with this big kit on silage ground

10 degrees. Cold breeze. Been to look at the beet with hat and coat on. Been drilled two months now. 6 small leaves on it. It’s getting really really tedious. It’s had three herbicide doses now and looks likely it will soon need another one. Probably be July before it’s big enough to shade the weeds out. Sheep been off the hay land for 2 months now. I could clear 5 acres with the ride on lawnmower and not fill the box. We didn’t give it any N as it’s a clover ley and normally up to our knees by now. Oh well.
