17 here at the moment with a high of 18 this afternoon, early rain this morning then sunshine now increasingly clouding over with more rain looking imminent.

Outbreaks of rain will clear to showers this morning, but these showers will turn increasingly heavy and thundery going into this afternoon. Lightning strikes are likely, with hourly rainfall totals exceeding 15mm in heavier bursts. It will also be a windy day, with gusts of 40-45mph possible through eastern London and along the coast of Essex and Suffolk late this morning and early afternoon. Some showers will linger through this evening and tonight, but with lighter winds.

Another day of sunny spells and heavy, thundery downpours is expected on Saturday. Hourly rainfall totals of 15mm and cumulative totals in excess of 20mm are expected, as well as lightning strikes. The whole farming year is marked with optimism smashed by the god awful climate. Next BBC weather reporter who says "unseasonably early" or "jet stream" is going to get my boot up their backside.
Autumn 2022, and the whole farm as gs4 can't come soon enough.
