Do I bother getting the combine out for a couple of hours after tea? No glyphosate. Think I’ll leave it. Blown up breezy and some warm sunny spells but not sure it will have done enough after the showers. Dryer backed up now. Need a lorry here but it’s broken down. Month lead time on plough parts and a full set would buy a decent secondhand car. Spend spend spend and nothing coming in for another month. Oh well.

Need i say more? sodding weather is playing games with us. Lovely dry spell forcast for 2 weeks, so we went on and cut 10 acres of wheat at 15.8%. We mill all of our grain so as long as it doesnt go mouldy its fine. then the next day it absolutely chucked it down. no warning at all from the forcasters until about an hour before it rained when they said drizzle! Now the chap having the straw is having to let it dry, should have baled it up today. we're waiting about for it to dry out again, and every day the oats get flatter and flatter. nothing like waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and seeing the flat patch has got another foot wider..... global warming isnt doing its thing yet, i think we all need to tweak a few more diesel pumps and get it to hurry up a bit!

Going to make a few of you envious. Been 37 today and a 60 kmh south wind. very humid tonigh. Just come off of the combine and noticed the humidity. Wheat was getting a bit chewy and I decided to stop before the morning is spent unplugging it. Wheat was dry to 11% by noon. Wouldn’t be surprised if it turns to thunderstorms before long.

Horrible drizzly rain now 15c with a high of 17c later westerly breeze changing to NW later so temp. won’t be going up much any time soon.
Let’s see what’s in store right across the Anglia region:

Weather

Status: Green

Forecast:

Forecast - 24 hours (weather and hazard summary)

Predominantly cloudy today with outbreaks of rain pushing south-east across the region this morning. Remaining overcast through the afternoon, evening and overnight with patchy drizzle.

Forecast - 2 to 5 Days (weather and hazard summary)

Generally overcast on Wednesday, with the odd spot of light rain or drizzle. Showery rain pushing in from the west on Thursday, with a few heavy showers possible in the south during the afternoon and the odd lightning strike. Showers dying away during the evening to leave a dry night. Cloudy on Friday with some showery rain. Mostly dry on Saturday and warmer, with a chance of some heavy and thundery showers moving up from the south overnight.

No offence to you @Gordy1 but I don’t like your forecasts one bit 😂😢
