Your current weather.

Angus/Perthshire scotland Looking dry for next two weeks. Some combines out between the rain the last few weeks. Some lodging to be seen in some spring barley I have sprayed off recently especially on the endrigg in a field at one farm. Maybe someone can enlighten me as to why this would happen? I am just starting out. Thanks

Forecast: 24 hours (weather and hazard summary)

Sunny intervals today and the odd light shower drifting in from the north-east. Largely dry overnight with variable cloud.

Forecast - 2 to 5 Days (weather and hazard summary)

Cloudier on Tuesday and Wednesday with a few light showers drifting in from the North Sea, generally light, and a band of light rain pushing south-west on Wednesday night. Often cloudy on Thursday and Friday with the odd light shower and just a few clearer interludes, these most likely in the west.

No significant rain, just enough spits and spots and low cloud and mist to keep everything damp and steamy. Nothing gets below 17.5% at this rate. Seems like we are turning into a tropical climate. Whether it will pick up this week is anybody’s guess.

Similar. 22.5%, wheat glyphosated a fortnight ago. Might nibble a bit more of the fitter spring barley off later on. Heads dry quicker but some of that just isn’t fit, in patches. Haven’t had any barley under 18 yet. Green grains bring it up in the heap and show no sign of ripening. Meanwhile the fit stuffs breaks down. A frustrating harvest.

Exactly the same as our SB, dad said I’m going to combine it (last Friday) before the forecast thunderstorms this wkend. It was flat in places, 18-16.8% moisture! Had 1.5mm of rain.

Spring barley almost finished tonight but low cloud and mist started coming in off the sea from the north east so stopped us at 8 pm with just 6 acres left. Never got below 17.5% today.
Forecast now shows light rain tomorrow morning. I will be so pleased to finish the spring barley and get in to the wheat, which is all stood up so far. OSR is desperate for a proper drink.

Forecast: Any early sunny spells will soon give way to cloud from the northeast, perhaps bringing the odd light shower. Cloud will linger through this evening and tonight too.

Completely overcast, quite a strong NE wind & chilly. What has happened to August? Despite a wet June/July the new rape is desperate for some rain - the dust when my neighbour was drilling last week was incredible.

Sun came out about midday and with a drying wind it would have been a perfect combining day - If there. was anything left to cut here. But with the strong wind up yer chuff it would have been extremely dusty!
