Weather

Forecast : Amber (Convective Rainfall/Lightning)

A dry start today but heading towards this afternoon, showers will begin to develop, these locally sharp and thundery at times. Some spells of sunshine are likely to form also. Hourly rainfall totals of 15-20mm may be possible in the heaviest of showers, with 24h totals reaching 20-30mm possible in local spots. Showers will begin to fade away through the evening for an increasingly dry night to follow with clear intervals.

Wind maxed out my mate's weatherstation at 171kmh - and then broke it off the pole and that was that. Some minor damage but less than expected.

Typical for around the spring equinox, an old-timer told the old man that "the first and third weekend in September are usually rubbish" and it's not often wrong

How many others just know that when this dry period ends, and it starts to rain, we are in for another wet autumn?

Yup. We can't hope to plant anything before the obligatory chit of rubbish. At this rate, we just know that it will be the mid October, two day - two inch, weather event that will turn it to slop.
