Very still outside at the moment, 11c with a high of 19+ this afternoon forecast.

Some mist/fog patches likely present to begin today, locally fairly thick across Norfolk and Suffolk. Thereafter, dry with long periods of hazy sunshine. Clear spells tonight with local mist.

Some welcome sunshine. Nice for the bean harvest but think it’s going to break my power Harrow. Concrete blocks but want to get the winter barley in. Ploughed, power Harrow twice, Harrow and roll, drill, roll. Trying to bring some moisture up and get seed to soil contact. Maybe we should wait, but fear that land won’t go till spring if it starts raining and doesn’t know when to stop.

No choice here but yo wait for rain. I e not added it up, but we've had sod all since may. Soil here would take 2" over a few days.

Thick fog here this morn, lovely day yesterday, started the last of the Spring sown winter beans. All ground worked up for wheat and also Spring ground moved too.

Forecast - 24 hours (weather and hazard summary)

Sunny interludes and a few showers this morning and afternoon, some heavy and with the risk of the odd lightning strike. Showers dying off early this evening. Dry for the remainder of the evening and for much of the night, but outbreaks of rain will edge into the far west of the region at the end of the night.

Forecast - 2 to 5 Days (weather and hazard summary)

A band of heavy rain will push across the region on Monday morning. There is likely to be a short period of intense rainfall within the band of rain, capable of producing 10-15mm within an hour. The most intense rainfall will be accompanied by winds gusting 40-45mph. Rain will clear all areas by early afternoon, leaving sunny spells and just the odd shower in the west. Becoming largely dry overnight.

Mostly dry on Tuesday morning with sunny spells. A few showers feeding in from the south-west during the afternoon, some of which could be heavy. During the evening outbreaks of heavy rain will spread in from the west and migrate east overnight, bringing the risk of a few lightning strikes. Cooler on Wednesday, but mostly dry with sunny spells. Staying largely dry overnight. Outbreaks of rain spreading in from the west on Thursday.
