Are these any good? I've been looking for a fairly simple one that will connect to the internet so I can see the data remotely without paying a large fortune to Davis for a Vantage Vue and all the extras required for connectivity.

Bresser don't have many good reviews on Amazon.

I cant imagine it being very good.. If an Asian couple (who are directors in half a dozen other businesses from the same address) can import them from China, store stock, pack and ship them out from their home/office in Romford at that price and still make a worthwhile profit, just how cheap must the components and the manufacturing labour be? :scratchhead:

My folks have a basic Yoshika one off Amazon just to know the temp outside, maybe £35 odd, cant remember.
Cant fault it, good clear screen, never missed a beat since I bought it for them.
Had 2 Oregon Scientific ones before that which both of them the out side sensor died.
No idea of connecting to the internet, dont think this one would do that.
I have a Davis Vantage Pro 2 as Im bit geeky about weather and its cost a lot just to keep going, always something broke on it.

All working properly now. It seems to be fairly accurate so far & I have a manual gauge next to it as a guide. Time will tell how long it lasts.

@Jo28 - this would be within your budget

The 9387 I linked above via Amazon
Looks to be exactly the same weather station as my Bresser. Only difference is it costs more.
I had difficulty connecting to the Internet but that was because I had lost the router password and was given the wrong one by my provider. Now working perfectly.
I use weathercloud which I was told is much more stable than Wunderground. very pleased with it for the price.

I've just ordered an Ecowitt, modular, you can also have ground moisture sensors and soon temperature when released. Not that expensive. Connects to wifi and then access from mobile phone.

GW1000 WiFi Gateway 868Mhz - https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/17
WH40 Rain gauge - https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsPage/1/33
Anemometer (6 or 7 in 1 sensor package) - https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsPage/1https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsPage/1/32/32
WH51 Soil Moisture sensor - https://www.ecowitt.com/shop/goodsDetail/19

Has anyone got any updates on these weather stations, or any recommendations for something similar that won’t break the bank please.

Ecowitt - https://www.ecowitt.com

Buy what you need, connects to your Wifi and records historical data.

Thats the base unit (but they also do packages if you look through the site)

Example:

I'm using rain monitor, soil moisture, ground soil temperature, and two temperature units which are in our meat cool chambers so should the temperature fluctuate sends alarms to our mobile phones.

Mine (see above) is still ok after 18 months. I’m moving house soon, so I have probably just tempted fate! It now won’t work when I get it out of the packing again…
