Zip-Till anyone?

Looks a good machine IMO, possibly better in high trash and wet conditions than a Pro Til i would think. Also has a wider seed band than the DTS you tried. You can use different press wheels for small seeds as well. Not sure how good it would be for Min Till or ploughing though.

Zip til has more in common with a Dts, leading disc, cultivator leg and a coulter leg but just with a lot more ground clearance than a Dts. Easier to pull than a pro til so can go wider mounted.

The Pro til does a lot more work with the front legs. Imo that's why I don't think a Dts should be compared to the Pro til.

Hi @Michael S , sorry its taken a while to come back to you, broadband issues!!

Very good machine, well built and very good back up from Mzuri. Penetration and depth control are very good and easy to adjust, the seed coverage and seeding depth control is very good. I have drilled through heavy volumes of chopped straw absolutely fine, i haven't drilled into any cover crops yet.

What would a 4.8m drill cost, price on farm as a rough guide please. Any other videos of the drill working. Looks interesting.
Hello Bomber 101. We have had a really good response to the Ziptill. Originally produced to suit shallow soils we are having success with this simple strip till drill in all sorts of different applications. If you want to pm me I will get your local dealer to quote you. When I'm back in the office I'll try and put up a video of the drill working. Will.
