With gatekeeper mapping is it possible to import A-B lines and field boundaries, save them and then export again to another device?
Or do you need to upgrade to the other two modules?

Its all expensive but I dont want to go for the base mapping module if I cant do boundaries and A-B lines... The £300 annual support cost puts me off too! X3 if you go for all the modules!

Gatekeeper mapping will not allow you to import A-B lines, as Clive said you will need the pf actual module to import device data and pf target to write data back out, if you are a JD man then there is always JD essentials which gives you the operational functionality of pf actual and target but geared for JD. Was using gatekeeper this morning and could import a-b lines from Greenstar to GK and save them
Export them back to Greenstar

Also I was creating ab lines in gatekeeper and sending them to Gstar and autotrac with them

It's one thing that is easy in gatekeeper

Finally taken the plunge and got GK mapping... along with actual so I will now be able to see all of the combine yield data (and not be limited to the CLAAS software!) Costs seem to have come down too me too...

Device sync Clive? Using the ATF files? Not sue if there is much advantage though over the class software?!

advantage over claas software for me is that it brings yields into gatekeeper for output recording and store allocation etc plus data into mapping so I can then use it alongside other nutrient data etc to plan and create any VRA applications I might wish to in future years. I also find it easier to correct error in gatekeeper, as I can input actual weighbridge weight to fixed any error from the combine meter very easy

I do it via device sync, but you have to make some changes to set-up as it doesn't work out the box, I have the email I sent a while ago explaining how to do it, I will find it and post it here for you latter

thanks for posting this Clive... Ill have a play in the next few days and try to get it working. I didn't realize you could use the yield/tonnage data... Could be handy!

Clive do you use your Plot filter as well ? I find it usefull in tidying up maps esp. when cutting around electric poles etc. it gives plots a silly yield figure when shunting about.
