Half Hourly Meter Removal

I have a half hourly electric meter set at 90kva.
I use 3000 kw hours per year of electricity in total mainly grain drying/elevators which is used between July and October but find the standing charges eye watering.
I have drawn a blank regarding getting the meter shifted back to a standard one.
Any advice would be helpful to help me acheve this

Have you found a solution for this?

I believe you can use red diesel in a generator provided the use is purely agricultural. It is certainly allowed in other uses such as hospitals etc. For emergency generators there is certainly a get out as fuel in the tank is exempt if it had not been used by the deadline ;)
itb is most definitely not allowed if the farmhouse is hooked up

Guess it would be an email to HMRC to get a definitive answer to this one.
