yes if that x6 were working as a smart phone as well it would be the cats whiskers, apps and all and getting near worth some of the money , as long as there weren't software updates that you had to keep paying for after the capital cost as well.
I doubt its as wet weather safe and useful as the psion either?

The X6 is a proper rugged phone, likely as weather/farmerproof as the Psion.;)

I understand that Wairere Romney’s in NZ use them for their lambing recording (on horseback). A bit bulky with the eid reader fitted no doubt, but handier than a Psion, Agrident, etc.

thats good then.
Trouble is weve got Farmworks but to me its confusing and difficult to use, i would phone up the support and get through whatever it was ,then i would forget how to do it by the next day, far to awkward i found it.

Anyone bought one of these recently on the grant system? I’ll ring up next week to find out how much they are but guessing it’s a £25k+ job?

Last quote I had was about 18 months to 2 years ago think it was 27k for a hd4 all singing with wheels. Hd3 was about 3 to 4 k less. Fair outlay, just couldn't justify it and still can't. They had some nice 2nd hand ones come through, but still a bit too much. Tidy bit of kit though.
