Really? Even if they aren't on the public highway? I assume it's a verge and it's probably privately owned land. Plus they are obviously static. If I drive into a parked car, I am always going to be at fault. Am I not?
Anyway, I don't suppose it would come to that. It is just an inconvenience to...
Put a couple of big old bits of stone either side of the entrance. Far enough apart to allow good access for big vehicles but close enough that a car can't reasonably park inside them... or just a sign saying "don't park this side of stone"
May I present my latest f*ck up for your consideration.
With lambing basically finished and the farm finally starting to dry out and look presentable again, I naively left the premises for the first time in weeks for a pint or two to celebrate. Once home, I decided to just look in on the shed...
Carhartt work trousers are well made and last better than anything I have previously bought. They also do 31'' waist rather than 30 or 32, which suits me better. About £50 mind. However, in this case, it seems that if you buy cheap, you buy twice.
I have just been into the local Mole Valley and, as is my want, bought 250 selenium and cobalt sheep boluses at 75% off. I have done this sort of thing many times in the past with things like blocks, boluses and minerals. I have always operated under the assumption that in a dried, powdered form...
As if to prove a point, I get up this morning, I find an in lamb hogg in the shed on her back, she later pushed out 2 aborted lambs. Then I go out to the field and find the sheep had flipped over the trough and trapped 2 lamb under there that had presumably been there for 24 hours or more. One...
Around 15% sounds accurate. I have made my peace with whatever number it ends up at. I do my best, try and learn year on year. As long as I am happy with the effort and thought I put into it the rest is a roll of the dice.
I persevere with weak lambs and non doers but the eventual outcome is...
What's good quality, late summer wrapped round bale haylage worth currently, per bale? I have a surplus and might as well shift it. I am told that conserved forage is now short here in the South West which I thought surprising.
From my research it was around £10/pole/Yr. But that didn't come from anyone who was actually in an agreement.
My one never actually ended up happening because they made a mistake as to where they were putting the post.
Following a car accident that snapped a telegraph pole, Openreach want to relocate said pole onto my land. What is the going rate for this and how much should I be asking? The line caters for hundreds of people.
Thanks.
Quick question... what do you all do with your expired power tools? Smash out the motors and scrap? Straight to the tip? I am building quite a collection and am wanting to have a clear out. It seems a shame to lose all of the components but I can't see an alternative to the above choices.
