Dog faeces

I've been reading all your replies and they are helpful. Now, at least I know that it's normal to get wound up about this sort of thing. However, I've tried to pluck up the courage to say something and I still haven't said a word to them yet. I'm thinking that perhaps I should wait for it to pile up and then let my partner's relations know. Either that or I'm going to have to somehow get around to telling them.

No offence mate, I feel for your situation, but what exactly are you so afraid of re talking to them? What's the worst that's likely to happen? I'm sure you've argued with someone before if you have to, especially since you know you're the one in the right. And if he the kinda numpty to lay his hands on you, then call the law and mention the dog shite whilst your at it!

The op is female and a bit nervous regarding confrontation, maybe one of the lads on here could do a drive past with the muck spreader on, if the op lets us know where abouts they are (y) @Guest

I suppose as objectionable as it is to us all, someone chucking their muck onto someone elses land, at the end of the day, it is up to the owner of the land to address the issue & not a relatives partner. Who are likely to be just told to mind their own business :(

I agree, they should ask if it's ok to throw it into the field. I can't understand why they don't have a dog poop bin or something. Thanks for all your replies, I appreciate it.

My partner threw it back into their yard this morning but I think he's worried about the repercussions. The people are away until later on today and my partner says that I should take the blame for it. I saw the man shovelling dog poo into the field early this morning and this is happening more than once a day. It got me really wound up to the point that I drove my partner to do something about it. I feel a little guilty now for driving him to do it. Thing is, they've only been here a few weeks and they're already taking advantage of the field, which is maize that is going to be harvested for cattle feed. We've never even had a conversation with them.

A lot of people just don't understand that it's a problem, they may even think they are helping to fert the field. Best to just go and have a word and make fun of it but serious at the same time, pointing out disease problem etc.

If that doesn't do the trick then get your nearest livestock mate to dump some cow sh1t over their fence. It'll help fert their garden :ROFLMAO:

Their garden is a little patch of concrete and now they've come back and shovelled it up and thrown it back into the field. They don't seem to be getting the message. They have also started going into the field and the next thing will be their dogs roaming the field. The seem to be taking advantage more and more each day. Yet, you hear about them complaining about other people's inappropriate behaviour.

What does the Owner of the field say about it?

We haven't told him about this incident but in the past, he specifically asked us if any people or dogs are going on the field and that it shouldn't be allowed.

Unless you are actually going to do something about it after being given advice on here, there's no point in adding to this topic, is therereally ? It obviously bothers you, you say you haven't had a conversation with them, so until you actually have that conversation, nothing will be resolved. As you also said, it's not your land so it's down to the landowner to actually do something about it if it disturbs them but if they ask you to act on their behalf, then you do have to speak to them.

And yes, I do understand what it's like to be worried about confrontation - as a female farmer on my own a lot of the time, you soon realise the only one who is going to do anything is yourself.
