Trimble Store - RTX Renewal

Does anybody else have trouble getting the Trimble Store to work?

I've spend the past 24hours trying to get a new RTX subscription sorted and making very slow progress indeed.

I realise I could get my dealer to do it but I'd rather be independent and have control of it myself....but the system doesn't seem as user friendly as it might.

Renewed mine yesterday with trimble store. £220 for year. Not very easy to find but eventually got there. Got password emailed straight back and all working ok.

Thanks both. I've managed to find the store - as you say it's not easy to find. Since I haven't set it up online before, the renewal is harder. I'm hoping to get it sorted this time around and then it'll be set from there for future years to be much much quicker.

Thanks. That's the same link as I've been using. First time when I registered they didn't give me access to the Store. Tried to sort yesterday and was promised someone would call me back today but nothing at all. Emailed support again today and finally got that sorted this evening. Now it won't accept my SN because it says it's registered to a different owner. I can only assume it's registered to the dealer still. The "Reseller", PO and POS ID fields aren't very user friendly I found.

Emailed support again to hopefully get it addressed. Not too keen on calling the international EU number at £1/min or so as an issue like this could take quite some time to resolve.

Hoping they'll come back to me quickly. Had one reply within 5mins earlier this aft, then another, but then no reply after that...!

I hope Trimble read this and take note.

Last year they (eu corrections @trimble) sent an email saying subscription was running out and attached a form for me to print off, which i filled in and then scanned and sent back as an attachment. Ask them to do that instead. Is rangepoint £250 from dealer? Admin charge?

We can supply 12 Months Trimble RangePoint RTX subscriptions at £250.00 ex VAT if needed.

Slight admin charge but we will save you the hassle of going on the Trimble Store to get an activation passcode and will make sure your receiver is setup correctly on the right frequency.

Thanks. That was exactly what I did last year, but online store would be easier as apparently they email you to tell you when it's running out. Would have helped as I only found out I had two days left when I turned the screen on.

Finally getting somewhere now. I've got a demo code sorted to keep me going for a bit.

I had to ring the helpline when I did it last week, it wouldn't upgrade over the air on a Case system, and the email they sent didn't contain the code, despite clicking the button to have it sent to me, had to input the code manually that the chap gave me.

Handy! Sounds like I'm not the only one having problems then.

Trimble RangePoint RTX subscriptions will not update until a valid activation passcode has been input into your receiver.

When you place an order for a 12 Months Trimble RangePoint RTX subscription on the Trimble Store the activation passcode will only come up on the order page and not on the confirmation e-mail that you receive, we have the same issue.

If you call or e-mail Trimble Correction Services they will be able to pass on activation passcodes for online orders.

But on the website the was a drop down option for over the air activation plus sending the details via email, which I clicked. It did neither!

It's a bit all over the place their online store. Still I was able to purchase Farm Works Mapping in USD rather than GBP.

It's a bit cheeky of them trying to charge the same amount, just cross the $ sign out and replace with a £ symbol.

You can buy RTX subs from US and they work in UK? Wow, that's surprising. Well done for working that one out.

NoT RTX but Farm Works Mapping, same store/site though. Tis the same software whether you buy it in dollars or sterling. But since they don't bother to change the price, only the pound sign, I figured why line the pockets of a multinational unnecessarily.

If it says registered to a different address, call them up and explain it's registered to your dealer can they change it to your company address, they will do it in 2 minutes on the phone, I have done a lot for our customers this year who want to have their own account.

All done. They did it over email for me and it worked perfectly. Should be set from now on.
