Mobile slurry store..

Anyone ever thought or built a mobile slurry tank using a 20 or 40 foot container axle at the back & drawbar at front, internal wall braces, outlet at bottom man hole to fill on top. Truck fills it, tanker empties & spreads. Saves the tanker road working.."

There is a few round here. Seem to never move tho, more of just a holding tank to keep full with road tankers and spread with umbilical.

20ft container here just sits on flat trailer, boom in top, tanker/umbilical out bottom. Needs well strengthened and doors securely closed and plenty of sealant! Holds over 5000 gal iirc.

Seeing as they are using a nurse tank anyway, why not umbilical out of the nurse tank?

In my opinion using a draghose system is only interesting when you want to apply a lot of manure on one location. Here in the area it is only used in the spring when the farmers apply manure on all their fields. Appying 25 - 30 cubic metre of manure per ha. Even then it can be cheaper using tankers in stead of the draghose system.

During the season most of the time the amount of cubic meters of manure is less per ha and the fields will not be fertilized at the same time. Especially when the cows go out grazing.
