For any Profi-Plus Fendt tractor, all you are missing is the Varioguide reciever and a small roof harness. This will then work through the tractor terminal, with no extra wiring lying around the cab, and can be intergrated into the headland management sequences.

The ISOBus version is OK as stated, but it is basic quidance. This is the same for Green and Yellow receivers fitted on these machines.

The ONLY receiver that can be installed and run "properly" through the screen is the Fendt Receiver. This will allow proper access to all of the tractor setting, map coverage, and work triggers etc, can be integrated into headland management and activated via the teachin buttons if necessary. Also since a software release earlier this year, this system can also be used in conjuction with Fendt Section Control, which can be added to any Profi-Plus machines running the latest firmware (costed option).

The prices stated here are all about right, but it is down to your own dealer to quote you correctly.

The hardware as stated is the same os the MF, Challenger and Valtra receiver, but again, correctly stated, the software is different, so NOT interchangable between brands. The receiver also fits INSIDE the roof hatch, so is not hanging around or sticking up about the cab waiting to swiped off by a low brow.

Thankyou, Bye.

Thanks for that info. Can you clarify the compatibility a bit. I understand the Fendt VarioGuide receiver is different (by SW) e.g. from the MF receiver but are the MF receiver and the Valtra receiver the same (unmodified Topcon design) or is it not possible to reuse one receiver between any of the different AGCO brand tractors?

The VarioGuide SW update included the following fix: "Scroll wheel dynamics have been adjusted for various settings". Could this be related to the issue I've observed at certain menus where I try to set the implement width but the scroll wheel makes almost random changes, making it very difficult to reach the intended figure? I've been wondering if this is a physical problem with the wheel although it feels more of a SW issue because it works fine at most other menus.

Basically at AGCO there are two (current) guidance offerings. VarioGuide which is the Fendt system and Auto-Guide 3000 which is used on MF, Valtra and Challenger. Auto-Guide 3000 receivers still have AGCO software on them making them different to Topcon supplied units, but they are interchangeable between the three brands.

The receiver uses a common mounting bracket and roof harness, but there are tractor specific harnesses for the connection of the C3000 terminal (Similar to Topcon X30).

MF and Challenger use a common terminal known as Datatronic 4 (CCD) and TMC respectively, optional in certain MF machine specs, standard in others and in all Challenger machines, this terminal is used for all tractor settings, but also offers ISOBus and guidance functionality, At AGCO this is known as C1000 and is available as a standalone guidance and ISOBus terminal for Valtra machines.

The scroll wheel bit is spot on!

Hope that clears it all up a bit.
