Daily ODA email update states US corn stocks up 50% on last year. € is 0.7773 for the SFP exchange rate - lowest since 2007. :(

Just waiting for the next bearish USDA report.

Yes but I bet Fendt UK bought their euros when it was at it's highest, that's what they'll say if you go looking for a bargain!
I'm sure they will say that but Who gives a Sh!t about when they bought their Euros. They bought them at the time to insure against future changes.
I once dealt with a feed merchant who told me (as the grain price crashed a few years ago) that they take a long time to put up prices and a long time to reduce them. Utter rubbish! All these suppliers put the price up immediately, then don't put them down until the bank demands it.didn't buy anymore feed off him, I bought in barley and mixed it myself instead.
All these inputs should be cheaper, and the importers know it.

The fact is that to get your business they need to be competitive. If they feel they don't need to lower their price to do that, they will stick. But if others have bought cheaper, and are able to do the business at a lower price then that may encourage others do to likewise for fear of losing trade.

The bad news is being suppressed, or at least not publicised.
Am told first hand that Manitoba has nothing to write home about, lots never planted, late, wet, late harvest etc.

The article suggests support for milling wheat, not feed. US farmers are holding farm stocks back like we are - this will have to come to market at some point, just as big fund short positions will have to be bought back. When will the prices bottom out? Not until the northern hemisphere maize harvest is properly assessed IMO. Later this month perhaps?
