think I'll sell 20% next week as have sold nothing yet. Will ring my three merchants and highest price as normal gets the job
Been looking at contracts for Cordiale next year, and surprised how wildly different prices exist between merchants. Some are over a fiver apart for the same deal. £130 for Nov 13 plus a good min price deal should make wheat pay ok.
He found a time machine in the back of the shed........Nov 13?

Sell all the wheat and grow no spuds?Wish I could go back a year.

Anybody know what happened to Nov futures around midday today? Mine seem to have gone wild!
Has anyone been bid for spring malting barley with movement before Christmas in east Anglia?
£117 tipple ex farm Nov movement I declined the offer.
£140/t for 1.67N Propino for Jan/March. That's an hour's haul from here to Southampton for export.
That looks a very good price if I could get that I'd be selling the lot,the market around here is Dead.Looks a good price!
I'm not sure why the export market has been so keen around here recently. That was up £20 in the last month. I sold some at that!
There's a lot of malting barley grown in Wilts/Hants/Dorset but no major maltsters. My main market is export from the South Coast. It's only in years of poor East Anglian crops like 2011 that many trucks turn up around here for hauling to the likes of Muntons, Crisp, Boormalt etc.
