I think my whole handling system counts as a bodge, jack hammered holes for 2 post sockets today, (Off to the right of pic ).
Once they've gone off I'll have a 10' wide race into the funnel and the crush. Total materials cost for the handling system, including the self locking crush is under £450, although it has (very) slowly developed over the last 3 years.

Cattle handling is a once / twice a year event for our 30 suckler cows, there's always a rush to make another modification before weaning, re-tagging and selling.
