Thank you for all these threads.
In reply to all comments,
Patchwork have been in the GPS business since the 1990's and originally imported Raven Cruiser's from the States but used our own software, written in-house
but in about 2009 we produced our own unit, the BlackBox 510, which was entirely designed and built in Wales,
and was launched based upon years of experience gained from selling and supporting the Raven Cruiser.

We continued and still continue to support every Cruiser sold by us.

If Snarling Bee contacted us in August/September 2013 firstly the call would be logged and if he would like me to follow it up I can trace the call.
What I cannot understand, nor defend, is how anyone would have told him to go to the States UNLESS the answer to the problem was a Raven unlock code,
in which case he would have to contact Raven as we would not have those codes available to us however,
to be dealt with in the fashion he has described leaves me with a feeling of disquiet since we are a small team and our support guys specifically wish to solve any problems they encounter with courtesy and a positive attitude so I can only apologise and suggest that either both parties were having a bad day or there was a breakdown in communications.

If Snarling Bee would like me to examine further I would need the date of the communication and I could trace it from there.

Was it Patchwork he contacted or his local, supplying dealer since all Patchwork products were sold through Dealers until late 2013.

Thank you, Snarling Bee,for sharing that thought with me since our commitment to our product is strong.

There are three generations of us involved in this company and we are a small dedicated team who attempt to support wherever we can to the best of our ability and I , personally, hate unresolved conflicts.

In reply to Badshot, I know I drive an American car and sometimes am seen with a Stetson but I can assure you there are no Americans involved in running this company and certainly not at LAMMA since we are all acclimatized Welshmen (and one woman) except for our Scottish member and one Irishman.
We have strange accents, true, but no Yanks here so I am not sure who you spoke to at LAMMA but he wasn't one of ours!
Can I reiterate, there is no outside control at Patchwork, all Brits and proud of it!

Iechyd da and compliments of the season.

Well that is very strange as he was introduced to me as the american programmer by a Scottish lady(I think but could be wrong on that bit), who's name escapes me. I am not sure but I believe I deleted all the emails as there was little response coming forth over the questions I posed. They were to do with the new steering wheel system and if your screen could do RTK from the signal I already use. I never did get an answer for those questions.

I had to wait a long time to see the gentleman at Lamma, but I did get sorted with CNH equipment fitted to my sprayer so it is really by the by now.

S**,
Just to keep you informed I have asked H****** for the frequency of the agleader RTK signal. The person I have spoken to is finding out for me, I don’t know how long it will take though. A quick google came up with 900mhz for an agleader base station, I don’t know if that helps or not.

I will let you know as soon as I know.

This was sent by me on the 06/02/2013
There was also an earlier one sent two days before this one along similar lines, I have no responses that I can find.

Thanks for that Badshot.
I will follow this up because it is indefensible if a customer has asked for information and has not been answered correctly or given the incorrect information.

We don't actually have an American programmer as I said.
My son is the programmer/Director here at Patchwork and we don't have a Scottish lady but we do have a Scottish guy on support.
However, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that one of the Raven guys may have been on the stand and you may have been introduced to him in that context.
That's all I can think of.
Anyway, as long as you were sorted and I shall retain the rest for my information and elucidation.

Thank you
