Good afternoon everybody,

So ...... I have done our SFI application ..... all completed and no errors showing ...... but when I "validate it" to submit, it says it I must click "change" by the error icons...... but there does not seem to be any error icons showing - I am stuck in a loop of no way forwards. Has anybody else had this and how did you solve it? I have phoned RPA but nobody available. Trying to do this remotely from another continent doesn't help. Many thanks :)

Yes I had this, went back and checked through all the land parcels and found a small difference in parcel size where the yard had expanded into part of the parcel, had to do an RLE1 form to correct it, still waiting at present.

Go to ’your land’ and check the area shown in your SFI application list matches the area in ‘ your land’, you need to do this for each parcel until you find it
that’s how I found ours, it was a whole 0.20 ha different!

TFF is a very useful thing, I am grateful to be part of agriculture, not many other industries would help each other like this. Its appreciated.

Give them a ring to ask if there is anything specific holding it up that you may be able to clarify over the phone, you should at least give them a nudge

Agree. I had the same message as you and no error icon. Having read this thread, I had another go rather than wait for a response to my email to RPA. I had previously needed to amend some areas on parcels and lo and behold there was 0.0001 ha discrepancy - 1 metre square! Anyway adjustments made and it validated and is all sent off. 🤞For a straight forward approval

I also found that our SFI hedge amounts were larger than compared to what the RPA has listed on each field parcel land record - this also caused an error, but does not show up so to speak.

How have you overcome this? I’ll have the same problem once I hit submit

My defra hedge lengths are significantly less than reality so I’m holding out for the changes. It just takes so long to get a call back now from bps I’ve forgotten the questions and getting sceptical they will actually call me back.

They aren’t using their figures on the website ‘land’ as the gaps are not omitted for SFI, measure them using the magic map tool or similar to get the actual length on the ground,
its in the guidance to do this
