Yes, I know, big sin.Not plastic twine string in a hedge, surely??
shame they can't mark, reassess the hedges again in view of how they grow later in the season, as after all, how the laid hedges grow is the most important thing rather than how they look on the dayGreat picture, where abouts in Wiltshire?
south of England style?
The million dollar question, can you see why the regrowth is better on some lengths than others?
Most hedging matches will have a prize for best regrowth, bit more luck of the draw involved imv, if you draw a bad piece and have to cut a lot out, then your not likely to win the best regrowth. I believe the national has a prize for best work in a poor piece also.shame they can't mark, reassess the hedges again in view of how they grow later in the season, as after all, how the laid hedges grow is the most important thing rather than how they look on the day
I asked a friend to come and show me , hes going to have a course here this coming winter , im looking forward to it ..I am hedging and will be for the next month
Anyone else doing any?
Seems to be a declining skill
I,m booked in for Midland intermediate.Timely to resurrect this. Anyone going to (or competing at) the National Championships at Stanford Hall, Leicestershire Saturday 28th October?
Expecting you to get a prize, only 3 entered 15 in my class!Yes. South of England intermediate.
I suppose if no more entries come in they might chuck us into the open class, so no chance then! Sadly only two entries in Dorset so far.Expecting you to get a prize, only 3 entered 15 in my class!
