Apologies, I know this has been done to death. I have searched but didn't find anything up to date. I know it will be there, it's my IT skills that are at fault!
I used to use Musto and Gill bib and brace but they don't last now like they used too.
I am thinking about a pair of Stoney Creek. Are...
Is anyone using anything in between a flat 8 and a proper packer like a Baron?
I work a cooks flat 8 and it works pretty well for me for gathering. I only do 2-3000 at any one time at the moment. I could up that to 10000 in time, but I would need more storage space.
I would love a packer but I...
As I have done for a few years now, I sprayed off a grass field and direct drilled in a forage brassica mix. What I normally do once it's grazed off is, leave it a few weeks and spray glyphosate. Once that's had enough time to work I disc it, sow straight away and roll.
This year I am planning...
Still plenty life in my Lely 770 (I hope!) Just thinking for the future. Can still get a 770 in Fend colours but would be tempted to get 8 rotors next time if my work load stays the same. What's the experience of Krone? Mostly for hay making
I have a reseed that that was direct drilled into stubble last September. It wasn't looking great for a while but it's come away now but it has big areas of YF. What is the best course of action now. I plan to top it, should probably have been done before now. I did wonder about a weed wiper as...
I will be baling hay for the first time with the 945. I always rowed up for the old 370 with the haybob. Will I stick with the haybob and then travel a bit faster or should I get a rake in?
TIA
I have been planning a decent pair of hill boots for a while. I would admire these but never consider them normally but that looks an attractive discount. Has anyone any experience with them?
Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I am on the look out for a 4 cylinder Valtra with a loader, 50K and air. N121 or there abouts. Budget is around £35k (possibly a bit optimistic!) Finding lots in recently sold sections of websites but nothing else that fits the bill. I would consider...
Neighbour is coming to sow grass with an Opico harrow tomorrow onto ploughing. Its was levelled with paddle rollers. Its reasonably firm but I am going to heavy flat roll it after. I am just wondering would I be safer to heavy roll before hand? Will sowing onto cambridge rolling and then flat...
I have wondered about bringing a load up so I know I have some good hay for my customers! Struggling to find a price or a good contact. If it was a goer I would organise pick up. Any suggestions on where to try?
Anyone got any experience? I have one of their fixed tooth mulchers and it's been a good tool so far. I had an Orsi flail that I sold that I was going to replace with an Ino but I am swaying towards a Teagle now
Has anyone rented land out for Christmas trees? Looks good financially but it would be for 10 years so it's a long commitment. Just looking to hear some pros and cons from folk that have done it. I would also get some work with the tractor of the back of it
Had an incident today. Fortunately no one was hurt. The handbrake on my 2016 Isuzu totally jumped off. It was fully applied and was parked on a slope. It definitely released as opposed to not being applied as it was too much of a slope to have stayed where it was for any time let alone the 10...
Evening folks. I am needing 2 get a double dog crate suitable for 2 large collies, comfortable enough space wise for being in it for an hour or 2. It is to fin in a Dmax with an Aeroklas canopy. I have looked at the K9 website but the ones listed as suitable for the Isuzu have a slope at the...
Here in the Highlands most livestock farms that use square bales use full size Hesstons. I do see a few quadrants about but not many. I can't think of ever seeing 120x90s. They look to me to be a handy size and not sure why there are none used. What situation do they come into their own?
