Found broken springs on the truck and the garage we use fitted high capacity springs and it came back about 4" higher. Wouldn't believe how much harder it is just putting feed buckets in let alone hauling a carcass up. Trailer gets used more now

Belts and chains fail and when they do they grenade the top end and possibly the whole lot. Gear driven don't seem to have an issue in truck and tractor applications, I'd rather it be less efficient and a few mpg worse and not have a few grands worth of routine repairs that are going to need...

That's progress for you. There's probably some really good reasons,but why aren't commercial pickup engines like trucks and tractors with no cam belt or chain to worry about.

When we've had one bend and tried to straighten it out, they weren't Chinesium, quite the opposite. Takes more than just dust to bind it,more like a square edge on the hole or nut and it's digging in. Bevel the edges and it probably won't happen again
