Top quality achieves top prices On Wednesday 12th August the Stags On Site Sales team visited Elbury Farm in Broadclyst after receiving instructions to disperse the excellent range of Tractors and Farm Machinery on behalf of Messrs Kittow. This highly anticipated sale received a vast amount of interest from across the country with the unique opportunity for prospective purchasers to buy modern and well-kept equipment. Once again the run of good weather continued for the team and the large crowd of prospective purchasers. The Sale consisted of 9 Tractors and a JCB 526-56 Loadall Materials Handler and a vast range of modern grassland/tillage machinery & effects. The first lot to really set the tone for the day was the 8/9 Tonne AW Monocoque Grain Trailer which sold well for £4,200. Also selling to a flying trade early on was the 2010 K Two 900 MK IV FYM Spreader achieving £8,700. The two Hi Spec 2300 Gallon Vac tankers both excelled, proving popular, with the newer of the pair (2014) reaching a final price of £8,000. Moving on to the tractors and vehicles, and in a time when farming is facing a tough period due to many contributing factors, the quality displayed in the sale field still drew high end prices with evident optimism for the future expressed in the trade. Notable prices include the first to go under the hammer, the Bobcat 763, selling for £5,400. The 2006 IH Case JX 1100U 4WD Tractor equipped with MX75 P/op F/E Loader sold for £16,200 to a farmer from Holsworthy. Just slightly lower in price on the day was the 2011 McCormick CX100 T3 4WD Tractor c/w McCormick Lift master P/op F/E Loader realising £15,750. The2008 IH Case Maxxum 125 4WD Tractor seemed a popular choice with prospective purchasers with the winning bidder paying £20,000 for the tidy example. Other vehicles sold on the day included a 2009 Ford Ranger Pickup which sold for £6,700, followed by a 2001 Toyota Hilux which seemed to sell very well despite a high mileage, achieving £3,600 on the day. Top Prices of the day were for the 2014 IH Case Farmall 115 pro 4WD Tractor which sold for £26,500 followed by the 2013 (Sept) JCB 526-56 Loadall Materials Handler which sold well and saw Auctioneer Stafford Sampson put the Hammer down at a price of £32,000. Finally, achieving the highest price of the day was the 2013 McCormick MC 130 T3 4WD Tractor with front pto & linkage, c/w MXU 10 P/op F/E Loader which realised a price of £34,000. Not surprisingly the sale received several outside entries and out of these notable prices included; 32’ Bale Trailer achieved £6,000; Hitachi Digger & Buckets sold for £5,500; Kvernland Twin Disc Broadcaster at £2,600 and bringing what had been an excellent day to a close Auctioneer Chris Clapham sold the JCB 526’S for £12,000. We are booking and organising sales for the Autumn, with the website being updated continuously and the forthcoming sales page now looking significantly busier in the coming months. If you are thinking of selling any items or looking to purchase at one of our sales and require any advice please contact our dedicated On Site Sales office on 01884 255533 or either Chris Clapham 07968122198 or Stafford Sampson 07970089534.
