Hello!
We’d like to introduce you to Off Grid Camp, which gives you the opportunity to diversify your farm income without the hassle or initial investment of a conventional campsite.
We basically offer a platform linking 4x4 overlanders (Land Rovers + roof tent or similar setup) with landowners for somewhere wilder to camp. Members pay a fee of £25/year to access our website directory of locations and they then book and pay landowners directly (typically £20-£30/vehicle/night).
We currently have over 100 locations and 600 members and we’re currently looking to grow the number of locations everywhere in the UK and particularly in Scotland, Norfolk and the North West.
All our members agree to the ‘Off Grid Camp pledge’ when they become a member agreeing to be fully self-sufficient, expect no facilities, drive within their capabilities & respect the #leavenotrace principle. This means they are simply looking for somewhere wild (and preferably flat-ish) to camp with no toilets, bins or even water.
We have made it as simple and accessible as possible for landowners to get set up. It is FREE to list your location on offgridcamp.co.uk and we take no commission on bookings. You can accept members to stay on your terms and you choose where you want our 4X4 capable members to set up camp.
There’s lots more info on our website including a Landowner FAQ page including details of planning permission, insurance and a potential earnings calculator.
If you’re interested, it only takes 2 minutes to register your land on our website. We will then review, request some pictures and build your page for you to check. And then you’re up and running ready for the camping season!
We’re all too aware of the challenges of farming and we’re really happy to be able to offer you this opportunity, which we’ve set up with a strong understanding of farming as Tom’s family farm on Exmoor and Rozzi is a trained agronomist.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions, we’ll be more than happy to help!
Many thanks!
Tom and Rozzi
