Seriously it is taking off in America mainly due to the Permies forum energy section. I all looks a bit rustic until I saw a German rocket stove built into a modern kitchen worktop with two hot plates and an oven.

it would take the Germans , and yes most photos i have see on the net are very rustic and i just found this when looking up a wood stove on the net last night with my son
