Training facility.

Hi all. Thanks for the add. First things first…Up the Farmers 😎👍👍

my question is: I’m looking to set up a business, providing accredited training for off-road driving and specialist recovery. With potential clients like fire service/ MOD, water board etc . Are many farmers looking to make income from other sources. Or is this type of income frowned upon in the community??
Lastly what type of rents would be charged for around 60acres… possibly more.

Any constructive feedback is welcome.

Regards

what part of the country are you looking at? We used to hire out ground to a 4x4 day experience 30 years ago. They could only use certain areas on the site though. charged £500 a day back then for upto 10 vehichles at a time. id want a lot more than that now due to the nature of the event.

Thanks for the reply guys. I’d be looking in south of UK. Hampshire area. I don’t want idiots causing issues for either me or any potential landlord. So pre booked members only. These would be typical customers. But also others who own larger off-road vehicles. Unimogs, DAF T244 etc. so landlord would have to be happy to have larger kit and a large 6x6 wrecker on site at a future date for training and assessments of LANTRA 4x4 driver training and IVR ( institute of vehicle recovery) training and accreditation
