When you see maize drilled no-till it does make you wonder what all the fuss really is about. Helps having dry ground and some proper heat behind it though.

Light ground here; sub soiler / power harrow combi outyields plough typically as.moisture the limiting factor. Need better weed control, though; plough negates a spray application.Not seen direct drilling do 20t/ac yet. Funnily enough the direct drilled crops that have out yielded or matched conventional always seem to be a story heard 3rd hand.
Now cue photos of people direct drilling on peat/very light soil which is a different ball game to most of us.
