Natural England knows best?

So Natural England will vexatiously persecute a farmer for trying to do what he thinks is good farming, meanwhile, another arm of our state will do nothing while a SSSI is used as an unlicenced (thereby avoiding £103/ton landfill tax) rubbish dump, couldn't make it up if you wanted to!

What was being dumped there?
Thats a significant question, its a 'illegal' flytipping site of approx 4 hectares within a woodland setting. Trees were allegedly felled unlawfully and then buried.
Because it is unlicenced, no records of contents of spoil, which is said to be 3-4 metres deep. Allegedly owned by Ashford borough council, who allegedly
a)have not consented
b)have not stopped it, despite reports back to 2020*
c)have not responded to residents reports
d)deny liability under the Wildlife &Countryside act through exemption.
There is much information online, being campaigned by Kent Wildlife trust who 'manage' ground in the vicinity. They do not seem to volunteer to repair the damage !

Jebus, that will be difficult and costly to clear up. What a mess.
If it is an NE controlled site then they should clean it up as they designated it and the owner has no control anymore... they could do it with the money they save by not pursuing AJCC in the High Court if they are that wealthy...
At least that site is a cut and dry case where as ploughing your land to grow food is considered more evil??🤣

NE knows best.
NE appear to have either sacked their legal representatives or been deserted by same (having paid them somewhat over half a million of taxpayer monies too date in EIA 1348 case ) and are now going to proceed under their own legal dept. steam. . . . . Doubtless still funded by an unsuspecting public purse!
NEmesis.

Not only have they lost their case, they now seem hell bent on throwing good money after bad.

I know we spoke about this earlier, on the BFU pages, and decided not to publicise anything as we didn't want to prejudice your case. Do you think the time has come for a body, like the BFU, to make your plight more known to the general public?

I'm sure it could garner a lot more support and put a bit of pressure on those autocratic barstewards at N E.

The trouble is those "autocratic barstewards" just don't care.

The mistake to make is to believe that those you are dealing with are rational, logical people.

They only see that they are right and will go to any lengths to prove/confirm that. As will the whole department/system that is built around them. Much of the civil service is the same - including NHS management, police, council officials, Post Office and any QUANGOS.

No matter what.....nothing you say or do will ever change that view that they hold. They have to be right.
