Cut and weighed a few fields this morning before mowing average of 7.6tonne to the acre thought that was pretty good

Yeah, big crop here TBH. Quality will be lower than desired. Plenty of white stem in the grass coming in, and whiter stubble than I'd want. But there you go. It's been a tricky enough spell now. Heavy ground is very tender yet. Just glad it stopped raining for a week. Ploughing to do and going to be beat for time again.

Yeah we’re the same heavier crop than normal and very white in the bottom was just chatting to dad this evening we’ve 40 acres a bit lighter and we were saying it’ll be way ahead of the rest next time round

I bought enough for 8 tonnes per acre contractor thought it looked not far off and think silo looks about same

I use ft cubed/50. Never far away for average dry matter silage. About 420-450t roughly converted

Lakeland Dairies will phase in a payment based on milk solids over the next two years in Northern Ireland following supplier consultation.
