You only apply approximately a tenth of granular lime compared to the limestone
So the cost of granular lime is pretty much the same and you can put it on when you want and down the tramlines.
£20.50 for limestone spread sounds dear to me
We looked at what we could buy limestone for and then at what the supplied and spread cost was and the spreader guy was taking £4 ton to spread it.
We would get kicked off farms if we charged £4 per ton to spread fertiliser
Rightly or wrongly We are having ago with granular this year, we will spread via vary rate maps
If you need a good price on the Calcifert I can put you in touch with someone
Funny how the people who really slate granular lime are AG limestone suppliers
