Looking for a tractor

You had to kind of knock it into forward / reverse, you could push it as hard as you liked and no dice (n) then just a little flick of the wrist and it dropped straight in (y)

But I've never driven a tractor with so many gears! 4 ranges, 5 gears in each range and three splits in each gear (y) 120 gears :D
The first tractor I put big hours up on was an Antares 130, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It would climb up the side of a mountain in fairness. Was bought to run a turf hopper and was unparalleled on that job but I was slightly jealous of the JD 66,68 and 7810 that the others had.

1000.6A naturally aspirated as found in Silver 100.6 / Antares 110 can seem a bit flat in my experience, turbo'd as per Antares 130... a totally different animal, massively more torque and drive-ability.

Only trouble re the OP is I don't think that cab design (broadly the same on a Silver / Antares, that Hurlimann or the Lambo) is roomy enough. Otherwise ideal machines in that price bracket.

The cab is crap, with no room in them, did you not read the post about big lad that has to drive it,

I've never actually been in one, have seen plenty working though and have driven 110-90s hence the great engine remark.

Would the budget stretch to a 6600 Deere?

Also as said before I would seriously look at financing a portion (3k) of the total cost and go for a 12k tractor rather than a 9k one, or spend 3k on tyres and tidying a 9k tractor and that way you'll still have the capital available for any breakdowns.
