Welding this bar up ready for the cows coming in at night. Leaving it to the last minute for a change.

Then some spreading with the 1394.

3 bales of cardboard barley should do it. In 4 years of muckspreading with the 4270 I've only broken 1 shearbolt. As soon as it goes on the 1394 I break 4 in 15 mins. Grrrrr.

Then at lunchtime we got a couple of phone calls to tell us a heifer had got out. After an hour of looking everwhere down the lanes and not finding her we gave up. She somehow turned up 1/2 an hour later in an empty field of ours so we stuck some more with her. One of them days I guess.

most foke would have 150hp on that spreader tbf, dam good idea to bed down with it tho beats peeling dam straw apart thats for sure(y)

We normally just lay the wads out like carpet tiles in loose box next to it but it does't bed very well because nothing but the scraper tractor and skidsteer will fit under there. Spreader seems to break it up well. We'll have to see how it goes this winter. Don't fancy spending thousands on a dedicated straw chopper if we can manage without.
