Would land that was entered into a biodiversity net gain (BNG) scheme on a 25 year agreement qualify as being transferred out.
Specifically a BNG scheme that was managed as species rich wild flower meadow, that included management obligations to make a cut of hay once a year.
This is true, I read today that all supermarkets are desperately looking for additional temporary warehouse space.
Aldi alone need an extra 1 million sq ft. Which is about the same as 2-3 regional distribution centres
.
Cull ewe average at Market Drayton today, £148 for 515 ewes. Was seriously busy this morning.
Also heard that a local indian takeaway has closed because the price of meat is too dear.
I had a battery and fencer taken a few weeks ago along with almost all the rappa superlight posts and half the wire and reels. Sheep were still where they were supposed to be when it was discovered. Definitely a farmer done it, as they only took the newest rappa posts and left the faded old...
We had a sheep count with animal health inspectors in November. They ran 50 sheep through the race to check the electronic tags and the governments own Shearwell stick reader wouldn't read about 40 of the 50 Shearwell ear tags.
The tags would read with my own Psion/Shearwell stock recorder.
I...
Our government are too scared of food inflation and food insecurity. They will welcome euro produce with minimal checks just to keep the status quo. The EU on the other hand will probably relish in destroying UK ag to prove a point to any other countries thinking of leaving.
Good article on The Guardian website about what will happen to food and drinks exports post no deal Brexit.
Essentially all suppliers have to be recertified that they are meeting the standards set by the EU if they want to export there.
It will take a minimum of 6 months according to the NFU...
The Op of this post only registered on 9th of September 2018 and this is their only post. Probably trolling and looking to provoke a reaction, be careful how you reply you don't want to end up being quoted by Monbiot or his chums in the Guardian.

This sounds more like some kind of biting insect, lice perhaps. We get a problem with it from time to time with housed ewes. Tends to happen more often on a sunny day, even in the depths of winter.
I hope the diesel emissions fiasco has taught governments not to to focus solely on carbon and look at all air pollution as a bigger picture. If there is more action taken to address global warming from greenhouse gases it will not just be carbon on the hit list, methane is much more harmful...
The supermarkets would probably still import NZ lamb if the price was equal to home produced lamb as it helps to suppress the domestic price.
Nice to see a bit of a bounce in some live weight prices today. Market Drayton average up 15p a kg on last week.
If you really want one of these you could easily make your own.
Get an empty container and a measuring jug. Start adding measured volume increments that you want to measure into the bottle and record the level on a dip stick with a scratch.
My sheep were out this morning, on my still to be cut crop of silage grass. It was already pretty flat before but it's going to be a challenging job to get anything like a clean cut with the mower.
£216 for a litre from the vets. Dose is 0.4ml/kg. I think using it depends on how severe the challenge is, sometimes vecoxan needs a second dose if you can't move badly infected lambs to cleaner grazing. This would work out more than a single dose of Baycox.
I used it on a group of indoor reared cade lambs, that needed treating despite having access to DB cocci buckets. Very happy with the results and will use it again next year. Lambs dried up straight away and stayed clean since dosing. Wish I had dosed them when there were a bit younger...
Actually pipestock.com have them as well, the ones I got from city irrigation can be a bit leaky, pipestock sell plasson ones which I would imagine are better.
In my rotational grazing paddocks I have a 20mm pipe down the fence line with quick coupling valves every 50 metres depending on field width.
Just unplug and move the plastic water trough whenever sheep are moved.
Smaller troughs are better as you waste quite a lot of water tipping out a big...
This used to be a dairy farm and all my neighbours milk, so it's quite a good area for growing grass. This wasn't that many sheep though and they have been stocked at about 2 to the acre since they lambed on small amount of saved grass. Most of the ewes were sent away to tack for the winter.
