Went round the stock as you do every morning , come across a cow with magnesium deficiency. Brought her home thought she could revover so I treated her with calcium and some other stuff. Time went by and she was back to normal but she was not getting up, found out that she had damaged her spine...
Just nipped around to see the stock as you do. And noticed a few wiened texel lams with very swollen ears. The lambs are on some rape and grass and have been for 2 weeks. Just wondering if anybody had any ideas on what it is and how to treat:scratchhead::)
I dont know weather others are having a bad start to lambing but I can tell you I am. I have just started lambing and I have alot of dead lambs to start of with. Why?:dead:
Having watched countryfile last night I have come to a conclusion to not allow the dogs on the field with cattle after hearing about Bovine neosporsis! I have never heard about the little nasties, stupid parasites:mad:.
