We kept one going for 22 months, a pure bred angus heifer which we planned to put in the freezer. She was 'babied' with the same companion for all that time. Last weekend, we think she she got cast and was found dead.
Her problems included co-ordination, she was rocky on her tootsies. If she ran she'd fall over so couldn't be with a group. Voice box was affected, head to the side. Small too, with short legs.
And now dead, having chomped a tonnne of berluddy feed.
